80s Rule!!!

I miss those sweet innocent times.

And I'm not just talking about TV. I'm talking about neon color everything, TV musicals-Kids Incorporated (my fave!) and Mickey Mouse Club, who made those actors/singers stars of today. My fave TV sitcoms to name a few were Double Trouble, Diff'rent Strokes, Punky Brewster (Punky Power!) Silver Spoons (love the toys! And who could forget 3's Company, Mork and Mindy.

The dramas were Charlie's Angels, 21 Jump Street (Johnny Depp ate my heart!), Airwolf (love that show!), A-Team (love the whole team, esp. Murdock!)

And Atari who could forget Atari!-the 1st known video game I've ever played! Pac-Mac. Ms. Pac-Mac. 

Movies I love were anything w/ the Coreys and horror films (Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St) 

Ghostbusters, silly comedies, Chinese movies

Music: I love Madonna as an actress (could she really act? the critics kept on asking. I say, of course since she does all those music videos) Cyndi Lauper (cool chick wrestler; when girls wrestle girls, not when boys wrestle girls just to get in their pants, ew!) Madonna w/o a doubt is a way better singer than Cyndi Lauper, but Cyndi is good in her own way too.

Back in the day, I only like girlbands, and pop music that I can dance to that includes Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, etal.

I love always have love watching the same old movies over and over again. (Top Gun, Outsiders, anyone?)
Now the have all those teen movies from the '90s-with teens stars from the '90s. Other nite, I was watching  Candance Cameron (before she up and married that hockey player) and Fred Savage and another movie with Tiffani Amber Thiessen (prob'ly before she broke up w/ Brian Austin Green, who later went onto married Megan Fox.) She's no longer using her middle name, so it's just Tiffani Thiessen. And there's another movie with Danica McKellar. They looked and seemed so sweet and innocent till Hollywood kill their image. 
Candance Cameron Bure is married to a hockey player.
Fred Savage was on his little brother Ben Savage show Boy Meets World once  
Tiffani Thiessen, I guess, is still acting.
Brian Austin Green is, as mentioned before, married to foxy Megan Fox
Danica McKellar is mathematician.

Grandmaster: starring Zhang Ziyi

I love this fantastic movie! Outstanding! Shows what a girl can do. Appearances is deceivin. Zhang Ziyi is the best kung-fu fighter in Chinese cinema. She is the best women kung-fu fighters in China. Love her!
In the movie, she fought and died for her family's legacy. Shows what guys know about thing fighter-nothing!
(Well, I'll make an exception for Jet Li; Jackie Chan doesn't count-he's more comedy than action.)
I said it before and I'll say it again, Zhang Ziyi is the best!
Oh, yeah, back to the movie-the movie was good cos it was in both Cantonese (which I understand) and Mandarin (which I didn't). Good kung-fu moves by Zhang Ziyi!

Sage Moonblood Stallone, Sylvester Stallone's oldest son was dead at age 36 at his Hollywood apt. :(
Refresher: He started, at age 14, with his dad in Rocky V They also appeared in Daylight together.
However, he turned down the role to play Rocky Balboa's son in the 2006 reprisal with the self-named title.

He gave up acting to become one of the co-founders of Grindhouse Releasing. Along with his partner, Oscar-winning film editor Bob Murawski, Sage Stallone's company restored and re-released forgotten exploitation films from the 1970s and '80s. Grindhouse Releasing partnered with Quentin Tarantino to bring Lucio Fulci's horror film "The Beyond" to screens in 2010.

Sage Stallone was Sylvester Stallone's eldest son from his first marriage to Sasha Czack (they divorced in 1985).  Sage is survived by his brother Seargeoh, and his three half-sisters Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet

Since marrying Tom Cruise, he has been running the whole show, but no more.
Katie Holmes is one free lady-to live her life as she pleases however she likes.
She can raise her kid, her apple-of-eye, daughter Suri with ex, Tom Cruise however she pleases
She can take on any movie role she is offered.

The real question is: Is this marriage all worth it? Is up to debate.

Katie Holmes, married to the diminutive Tom Cruise for the past 5 yrs with 6 yrs old biological child, Suri, filed for divorce from The Cruiser, which he was absolutely blown away by. He totally wasn't expecting this.

Music Pet Peeve

I've got a music pet peeve.
I just absolutely hate it when the singers repeat the same words over and over again and again. As if I wasn't able to hear it the 1st time It irks me beyond belief I can't possibly stand it. Can't they be original or something, repeating same phrase over and over again and and again. How irritating! God! Can't stand it!
It's unbearable!

Now oldies but goodies never repeat any part of there songs Why is that? Maybe cause they've the the originals. Wish music is like no

Another music pet peeve I ave is that music nowadays can be so loud. Why can music be so loud? I don't get it. Maybe to sell more CDs?

But way back then the music was nice and quiet and it sell a lot of records so why wouldn't it right now.

Brangelina Invitable Nuptials!

Hi Celebmongers! Brangelinga is officially off-the-market! They're officially engaged :( People have thought they're on the verge of breaking up, but all evidence points to them getting hitched. I guess people want them to break up cos they want either Angelina and Brad who are both hot for themselvesor maybe cos they still think Angie as the Other Women who broke up the marriage betwen Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

1) Brad and Angie took each other surnames like two marrieds.
2) They have oodles of kids together (actually 6 and more on the way, maybe? only time will tell)
3) They've been playing house w/ their Brady Bunch family
4) They totally gotten over their exes (even if Jennifer Aniston is still fixated on them even though she has her own man, wonder how long that'll last?

Pippa Middleton Crazy Fake Gun Scandal

Here's the scoop: Pippa (Kate Middleton's wild sister) was trying to play a joke on the paps before a masquerade party w/ a fake toy gun, which blew out of proportions (of course!) The paps were fooled; they thought the gun was real, but all along it was a fake! Haha! Guess the media got the last laugh. But the royal family was flabbergasted. (Probably also her big sis and brother-in-law felt the same way)

Do you gals think love is worth fighting for?  (Or have I been watching too much soap operas?) Love... Ah... young love, I love how young love is so inspiring. Love... so worth it thru Heaven and Hell and back but as they say, love triumphs all evil.

Soap operas, I realize, has so many love triangles.The soap opera I specially am watching is Passions. Love triangle between rich tycoon Ivy Crane and her ex-lover, Chief Sam Bennet and her amnesiac wife mild-mannered Grace Bennet, and chauvinistic pig and rich tycoon Julian Crane and ex-lover, ex-whore Eve Russell now doctor and her husband Coach T.C. Russell who has a vendetta against the Cranes. All will break loose when he finds out about her sordid past; Julian Crance ended his tennis career, which caused his father to die of heart failure. Sheridan Crane and Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald-the only thing standing between their relationship is her father Alistair and brother Julian, master manipulators.
On the teen front, there's Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, who has been in love with Ethan Crane since girlhood but Ethan's set to marry Gwen Hotchkiss, the girl he loves since their boarding school days. ;/
How romantic. Their families have pre-arranged their marriage since childhood. Said Hotchkiss-Crane would make a good alliance. Sound like a business merger, right? What kind of love is that?
Love w/ Theresa seems more real than love with Gwen, more real, less pre-determined, you can pre-arranged love. You can't control your emotions, you gotta let it run.
And then there's Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald and Charity Standish and Kay Bennet. Miguel and Kay has been best pals, buddies since playing softball together till Charity came to town. Miguel has only eyes for Charity after she came to town. Kay has done everything in her power to keep them apart. Then her mom, Faith Standish, Grace's twin and Kay's aunt died in a fire, so the Bennet gave Charity a home. Charity has these promonition powers that can read the past, present and future. A witch lives next door to the Bennets who spies on them all the time. Now she's trying to get Charity, sweet Charity over to the dark side. Whenever she wears a pendant that Tabitha (the witch) gave her (the pendant has demonic powers) she becomes Evil Charity like Chucky. After she takes the pendant off, however, she forgets what evil misdeeds she's been doing.
And then there's Chad Harris, who may or may not be (but may possibly be Eve Russell's illegimate son with Julian Crane) Eve said that her baby died, but when he was injuried once, only her blood match Coincidence? I think not. Chad Harris got the hots for Whitney Russell the avid tennis player, who is taking up her father's dream. But Whit refuses to admit her feelings to him and he to her although the way they act to each other- you would think they are lovers. Simone Russell, her baby sister, likes Chad too. But Chad doesn't return his affections for her; he only has eyes for Whitney.

These fellow citizens may lived in Harmony, but their lives are far from being harmonious.

Plus in soap opera land, why, oh, why does think so s-l-o-w for things to happen? I mean, c'mon, the rich are smart-doctors and lawyers and businesspeople and takes 10 episodes for Ethan to tell Theresa he's calling off the wedding? It 3 episodes for Eve to come up with an excuse to save Sheridan and Luis' relationship when Sheridan told her she killed Luis father at a tender age.

Wonder that's why ppl stop watching soaps in favor of daytime games and tv talk show (Jerry Springer)

When Ethan chooses Theresa; all hell is gonna break loose between the Hotchkiss and Crane families. Not to mention the Lopez-Fitzgerald clan! Get ready for an HUGE explosion!! OMG!!!

You wanna know who I admire the most in Passions? Theresa-she believes in love. She is so bold as to go to Ethan, the rich heir to admit her feelings for him. She is not afraid of her feeling. She is gutsy to want to made Ethan her one true love of her life. How romantic What a gal.

Pyeongchang, South Korea has been named to host the 2018 Winter Olympics

Finally we've crossed the barrier! South Korea,  for the first time ever, is hosting the 2018 Winter Olympics! It will be the 1st Winter Olympics for 'em, having hosted the '88 Summer Olympics in Seoul (duh, the capital) They beat out France and Germany. Will Korean Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-Na be at this particualr event? It remains to be seen!

World Largest Burger At Alameda County Fair!

Hurrah! We are have now established that we have the largest burger in all of California, in all of West Coast, in all the world! Cool, ain't it? Top that Canada (which previous record was at 595 lbs)! That's one for the record book! As a matter of fact, the peeps from the Guinness Book of Records were there to give the Alameda burger as the world's largest.
But they didn't made the burger to be in the world records: it was all for a worthy cause, dig it (literally!)? Individual pieces were sold at 99₵ while proceeds went to Alameda County Food Bank.

Who cares if it's Miss USA 60th anniversary?!

They only look what's on the outside, not what's on the inside. Sure they have Q&A at the end, but they're just a buncha airheads that they can't even give a deep, thought-provoking answer.

Some of the ladies in the beauty pageants start strutting their stuff when they are toddlers. (Haven't you seen TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras-Look at the babies on their official site) If you must blame someone, you should blame the parents for putting them in front of the spotlight at such a yong age. The babies don't know what their getting into. Parents should let their kids be kids; they're way too young to be in beauty pageants. Remember what happened to JonBenet Ramsey?!

Hef's wedding to Crystal Harris has been canceled. She wants a bigger weekly allowance and a career in the music industry. She released a song, Club Queen, on iTunes. Well, I guess she wants more freedom, which is understandable.In next July edition of Playboy that's comin' to the newsstands near ya, a sticker over his former bride 'Runaway Bride In This Issue.' You win some, you lose some.
Now ladies, he's available, he's on the market again. He's officially, a single man again.

Compared his supposed love child, do you see any resemblances?  His supposed mistress is beautiful in her own way, but nothing compared to Maria Shriver, his soon-to-be ex-wife.

I don't think Mildred Baena had an affair with Arnold Schwarzegger at all; it just another ploy to drum up publicity. He may be a playboy, but no way, no how could he have fathered another child with another woman! He does have some pride. Give the man some credit. Give him some slack, paps!

S.E. Hinton

S.E. Hinton's novels are so 70s! Her characters are all so tuff. Made me wanna be like 'em. Or better yet, make me wanna write characters like 'em! When I was lil, after reading Outsiders, which I read/watch about 10x (I much prefer the book to the movie, but those up-and-coming actors in that movie are today's stars, unbeknownst to us all) I just recently found out that she wrote Outsiders when she was just 16! Yes, S.E. Hinton is a girl! But I digress... I wanted to act all tuff and stuff like the gangs portrayed in her novels. Now, I wanna write about gangs. Sure, I tried my hand at writing tough girl gangs, but to no avail.I tried this time around but still I haven't succeed cos I guess I don't have a tough bone in my body. Why are all Hinton's characters boys-I mean, she being a girl she should at least have some tough chicks-well, the girlfriends of the main characters doesn't count; they're just supporting characters. I'm talking about main characters, man!
Tex was kinda mushy, no fighting,  just a coupla of kids just struggling to make ends  meet w/o a parent around. .When their dad did showed up, he wasn't a great parent to Tex (turns out their father is not Tex's but his older brother, Mason, which means they're half-brothers. But Tex is in love (or maybe just crushing on?) his best friend's sister (his only sister) They live in the country and go  in the city now and then.
Anyway, all of Hinton's novels were made into movies. Because her novels show how tough life can be even if you least expects it to be. You gotta roll with the punches.
